The hot springs were first visited by the Ktunaxa First Nations peoples who experienced the waters as a welcome respite after a long day of hunting, fishing, and gathering roots and berries in what is now known as the Kootenay region. The Ktunaxa First Nations peoples embraced the nupika wu’u, or hot mineral waters, for their healing and rejuvenating powers and Ainsworth Hot Springs has been welcoming guests since the 1930s.

Welcome to Arrow Lakes Registered Massage Therapy!
The clinic offers patients a variety of massage therapy options, including Therapeutic, Sports related, Pre/Post-Natal, Deep Tissue and Relaxation massage, provided by Carley Adair, RMT.
Carley graduated with honours from the Massage Therapy Program at the Ontario College of Health & Technology in 2012, and has been registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario ever since. In 2017, she registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia as well, and opened Arrow Lakes Registered Massage Therapy here in Nakusp.
She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Thomas University in Modern Languages. Throughout the years, she has practiced in various clinics in Southern Ontario, working alongside other health care professionals, including doctors, chiropractors and osteopaths, to help patients achieve optimal health.
She believes strong patient participation and a well-rounded health care approach is what can make a difference to those suffering from both acute and chronic pain. She truly enjoys what she does, and is always looking for ways to upgrade her skill sets to be able to provide treatments designed specifically for each patient.
As a registered massage therapist, Carley will issue patients receipts to submit to benefit plans. Please note that the clinic accepts Visa, MasterCard, cash or e-transfer as forms of payment. We cannot accept debit at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.
If you are wondering if massage therapy would be beneficial for you, please don’t hesitate to call the clinic.
All of the artisan’s work I have collected is made right here in the Kootenays and a little from Vancouver and Toronto!
I will continue to look for new unique products(local and import)for my shop so I can provide people with quality products!
Halcyon’s location is one block away from downtown Nakusp. Across the street, there is a beautiful park as well as a beach with a view that will take your breath away.
Open 365 days a year, Halcyon is home to some of the most restorative hot spring waters you will find in North America. General Frederick Burnham, who owned the “Halcyon Sanitarium” until 1955 believed these waters should be shared with the world. We hold the same philosophy, along with a dream to create a village where everyone is welcome to relax and enjoy the healing waters of Halcyon Hot Springs, British Columbia.
