The hot springs were first visited by the Ktunaxa First Nations peoples who experienced the waters as a welcome respite after a long day of hunting, fishing, and gathering roots and berries in what is now known as the Kootenay region. The Ktunaxa First Nations peoples embraced the nupika wu’u, or hot mineral waters, for their healing and rejuvenating powers and Ainsworth Hot Springs has been welcoming guests since the 1930s.

Tucked away outside of Fauquier, in the peaceful Lower Arrow Lakes Valley, Applegrove Farmacy is a family-run farm rooted in the belief that good food starts with healthy soil and hard work. David Snyder and Daniela Brehm began this journey in 2022 with the goal of growing enough fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, and eggs to feed our family of four for a year. What started as a personal challenge has grown into a passion for sharing our harvest with the community.

We use natural inputs from our own farm, like chicken and goat manure, bat guano, and mealworm frass, along with plenty of manual labor and individual care for each plant. This hands-on approach creates nutrient-dense crops that are as good for the earth as they are for you. The water comes from a mountain creek and electricity is harvested from the sun. From vegetable starts and bareroot trees to apple cider vinegar and seasonal goods, everything we grow is designed to nourish body, mind, and soul.

Nature School puts the land and the child-at-play at the centre of every activity. Children are given space and time to explore and be inspired by their surroundings, and educators support the children through an emergent curriculum, which is driven by a process of inquiry and views risky play as as an integral part of children’s learning and development.

At Arrow and Anchor Pizza, our menu is the accumulation of ideas inspired by places we have lived and traveled. Our Canadian east coast roots inspire us to source fresh local ingredients wherever possible so that when you taste our pizza it evokes a sense of community. Our favorite pizza in Nova Scotia had ingredients on the menu that we often found at the local Farmer’s Market. In 2014 we traveled Italy and experienced the changing ingredients and styles of pizza from region to region, creating lasting memories that connect us to the communities we visited and the people we met.

Arrow Lake Equipment Rentals, is a new company dedicated to filling a growing need in the developing area.

Arrow Lake Motel has been proudly owned by Ken and Liz Feiffer for three years. It is a newly renovated motel which includes eleven air-conditioned rooms, five in which are kitchenettes, right off the Needles Ferry in Fauquier, British Columbia.

Additionally, Arrow Lake Motel carries over ten M&M Food Market items such as sirloin steaks, stuffed potatoes, lasagna, shepherd's pie, cabbage rolls, and pizza. We have three outdoor barbecues and microwaves available in all the rooms for our guests.

We are proud to announce that we have a newly open-licensed restaurant in Fauquier, British Columbia called Mushroom Addition
which is walking distance from Arrow Lake Motel.

We offer a wide range of fun, from full day boat and beach adventures, waterfall tours to 1 hour luxury sunset cruises. Our 26' tritoon has a custom rack for 8 bikes to shuttle you to our world class mountain bike trails and is also equipped to carry up to 4 paddle boards or kayaks to guarantee your time out on the water is incredible!

We provide ice for your favorite beverages and an onboard barbecue! Don’t forget to bring your favorite music playlist as our boat is equipped with Bluetooth. We offer a relaxing, smooth, stable and safe experience aboard the Wildflower, a 26 foot Avalon Cantina tritoon.

Our captain is Transport Canada certified, professional and friendly and has a passion for local history.

The Arrow Lakes Arts Council was formed in 1977 to promote an interchange of educational and cultural endeavours between local and outside artists, both professional and amateur, as well as a variety of other community-related efforts, for Nakusp and the Arrow Lakes region.
