The Nakusp & District Chamber of Commerce has recently produced a series of trail brochures, titled “Trails of Nakusp”. The brochures provide access information, a description of the trail along the way, GPS coordinates for key features, and detailed maps of the trail, for ten of the region’s popular trails.

Photo: Dani Tschudin www.visualexposures.ca	The trails that were chosen for this series vary in their Rating, their Distance and in their Modes of Use. Effort was also made to document areas that can be accessed at different times of the year.
These brochures are available at the Visitor InfoCentre in Nakusp as well as various distribution points throughout the region. Please call (250-265-4234) or e-mail the InfoCentre for a list of distribution points if necessary. If you prefer, you can download the brochures here, and print them out yourself. The brochures are printed on both sides, and are formatted to be folded in a quarter-fold style, so it easily fits in a pocket or backpack.

The downloadable trail brochures are in PDF format for easy printing. Each brochure has a “Cover” page and an “Inside” page*. These can be printed on separate sheets of paper, but we recommend printing on either side of a single sheet of paper so that the brochure can be folded and used in the way in which it was designed.

*One exception is the “Nakusp to Rosebery Railway” trail, which has so much information that TWO double-sided sheets of information and maps were necessary. The “Cover” and “Inside” get printed with the same procedures as the other brochures. The “Maps 1” and “Maps 2” can be folded as you like, to fit inside the first sheet when folded.

Folding Instructions:
Once the “Cover” and “Inside” pages are printed, place the brochure on a flat surface with the “Inside” facing up (the main body of text and the map(s)). Fold the brochure in half from top to bottom. Now you should be looking at the “General Information” panel on the left and the Series key map and trail listing on the right. Fold the brochure in half again from left to right, and voila! You should now be looking at the cover of your brochure!
