Council meetings are normally held on the second and fourth Monday of each month with the exception of the months of July, August, September and December, when meetings are held once a month.  If a council meeting falls on a statutory holiday, that meeting is held on the Tuesday of the same week.

  • Council meetings commence at 6:30 pm and will be held at the Emergency Services Building at 300 – 8th Avenue NW – unless otherwise specified.

Attending or speaking at a council meeting

Council meetings are open to the public.  There is a public question period in which members of the public and press can ask questions of council.

Requests to appear before council as a delegation are to be made to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).  All requests to appear before council must be submitted to the CAO by the Tuesday of the week prior to the council meeting, along with all presentation materials.

Delegations and presentations are scheduled to begin at the start of the council meeting with a maximum presentation time of 10 minutes, unless previously approved.
