1900-1945

Stories, songs & slides

Join us for a rich & rousing combination of Canada’s traditional songs, chronicles & photographic archives.  This presentation uses the songs made up and sung by BC loggers (1900-1945) as a window into their way of life and work.

A question and answer period will follow the show.

Presenters Jon Bartlett and Rika Ruebsaat are musical historians, entertainers & teachers, with a special interest in the songs of B.C., sung by our forebears; songs that reflect life and work in this province over the past 150 years.
