Canadian Coast Guard to be working in Arrow Lakes area next week

The Canadian Coast Guard will be working in and around Arrow Lakes beginning next week to rebuild a number of Aids to Navigation.  Here are the details:

Arrow Lakes – Chart 3056 (NAD 83)

The Canadian Coast Guard will be rebuilding aids to navigation on Arrow Lakes from approximately October 9 to 17. During this time, the following permanent changes to existing aids to navigation will take place:

  1. Cayuse Creek LL 27.0 (49 23 31.8N 118 01 2.5W) light changed from Fl W 4s to Fl G 4s, nominal range reduced from 6nm to 4nm and focal height reduced approximately 1.8m.
  2. Renata North LL 27.3 (49 26 58.3N 118 05 22.3W) light changed from Fl W 4s to Q R 1s, nominal range reduced from 5nm to 4nm.
  3. Bowman Creek LL 27.5 (49 31 34.0N 118 08 42.9W) light changed from Fl W 4s to Fl G 1s, nominal range reduced from 6nm to 4nm.
  4. Snag Bay LL 28.0 (49 36 31.2N 118 09 28.4W) light changed from Fl W 4s to Q G 1s, nominal range reduced from 6nm to 4nm.
  5. Johnston Creek East LL 28.5 (49 41 31.2N 118 07 42.2W) light changed from Fl W 4s to Fl R 4s, nominal range reduced from 5nm to 4nm.
  6. Edgewood East LL 29.0 (49 45 59.9N 118 06 39.3W) light changed from Fl W 4s to Q R 1s, nominal range reduced from 5nm to 4nm.
  7. Fern Creek LL 31.5 (49 57 40.0N 118 00 43.0W) nominal range of the light reduced from 5nm to 4nm.
  8. Burton Approach LL 32.7 (49 58 46.8N 117 55 18.9W) light permanently changed from Fl G 4s to Q G 1s.
  9. Burton West LL 33.0 (49 59 27.1N 117 54 24.1W) the port hand dayboard has been permanently changed to a white tower.
  10. Arrow Park LL 34.5 (50 06 36.6N 117 54 4.7W) light changed from Fl G 4s to Q G 1s, focal height increased approximately 7.5m.
  11. Smith Point LL 38.5 (50 12 38.4N 117 49 34.4W) light changed from Fl W 4s to Fl G 4s, nominal range reduced from 6nm to 4nm.
  12. Ann Point LL 40.0 (50 28 2.2N 117 54 56.6W) light changed from Fl W 4s to Fl R 4s, nominal range reduced from 6nm to 4nm.
  13. Albert Point LL 40.5 (50 35 29.0N 117 54 43.3W) changed from Fl W 4s to Q R 1s, nominal range reduced from 6nm to 4nm.
  14. Whiskey Point LL 41.0 (50 42 21.6N 117 49 22.3W) light changed from Fl W 4s to Fl G 4s, nominal range reduced from 5nm to 4nm.
